Mission

My Trailblazers group supporting women leading change.

To support organisations create a talent pool of trailblazing women thriving being the only woman in the room, to lead the change in your organisation. Creating a safe and fair culture for all, with everyone’s voice being heard.

Working with leaders who are passionate and ready, committed to real change. Who understand that diversity and inclusion is a competitive advantage. More than just a tick box exercise. Not just lip service. A budget line item.

Instead, it’s a business priority. A strategic focus. Supported with real passion and intent in the C suite, flowing into the organisation.

Your Profits

The stats don’t lie. The corporate world is a man’s world still at its heart. And it’s not changing as fast as needed. Change is painfully slow.

The higher up the ladder women go, the less women and more men there are.

In the Fortune 500 only one in five C-suite leaders is a woman. For each company run by a woman, there’s 13 run by men. There are more men called John as CEO, than women in total.

YET, the companies led by women THRIVE, they grow more profitably with principles and parity at their heart.

In a report by McKinsey & Company, for every 10% increase in gender diversity, earnings rose by a glaring 3.5%. Women leaders have a key measurable impact on an organisation’s bottom line.

Women leaders led to reduced recruitment costs, with more women staying for longer, increasing loyalty and becoming an employer of choice with the most valuable, discerning talent.

When women become leaders, they provide a different set of skills, a fresh perspective to drive structural and cultural change.

In bringing a new perspective, a new sense of awareness to finer details that may go unmissed and leadership with care and connection at its heart.

Why

With my help more women will step into and thrive in your most senior roles. Becoming change makers who say no, speak up, self promote, share their expertise and strive for that next step.

These trailblazing women aren’t just focused on building their name and career, they are women who want to change the world with their work and make a real difference.

My On Fire Leadership Process is NOT focused on leadership tools and techniques (read more about it here).

Instead focused on supporting your women leaders to thrive being the only woman in the room.  By prioritising their needs, build a compelling leadership identity, find their purpose, develop purposeful relationships, find clarity on their future and build a toolkit to support themselves.

Leading as a powerful woman. Shaking off old beliefs, doubts and wobbles to stand tall and proud as who they really are.

A real force for good, a role model inspiring others to speak up for what’s right and call out what’s not.

NOT being a b*tch, being a yes woman OR acting like a man.

NOT blaming, judging, man hating or burning the patriarchy.

NOT creating more segregation, them and us become we.

These trailblazing women leaders who are on fire in their roles without the risk of burning out.

Leaders who are energised and passionate about your business, so they reach down to help others up the ladder.

Challenging outdated behaviour and language, calling out what needs changing, being the voice for those who don’t and role modeling leading change.

This is not a NICE to have, it’s a business NEED to have.

These women become advocates for your business and role models for those on their way up. Reaching down the ladder to help others ascend. To no longer be the only woman in the room.

Instead lead in rooms rich in diverse backgrounds, race, age and gender. Whoever you are, however you identify and whatever your history. For all employees to feel safe to speak up, valued for who they are and recognised for what they do.

AND this is all measurable. You can monitor, demonstrate and follow the measurable impact to see the clear ROI of your investment. It’ll be the most powerful investment you’ve made in your business.

In a new world, post lockdown, COVID and flexible working for many. Leaders who thrive, will show up as who they are and lead caring about employees above all else. That will help you reach your business objectives by lowering costs and increasing revenue.

The world needs more women leading it. You’re invited to step into your role in this.

My Story

For most of my life I’ve not felt enough. Until recently I’ve spent my life proving my value and worth.

I was born in 2 hours. entering this world in a rush, sorry mum! And only recently have I learnt to slow down.

I loved to sing and dance growing up. One day a well meaning family member told me “little girls should be “seen and not heard.”  I felt ashamed and embarrassed that I wasn’t elegant or dainty like the other girls. So gave up and started karate instead!

I was told I was “too loud” and “too much” when I was excited so I became the “good girl”. Working really, really hard at school to get good grades, be top of the class. And blending in and too scared to speak up.

I loved a book before she could even read. Most content when learning and reading. Growing up with a love of learning, yet was bullied for this .. “you’re a geek/boffin/swot.”

I had NHS specs, braces on my teeth and a mullet haircut, plus grew curves early on. So I hid my developing body away under baggy clothes.

I felt like I never really fitted in. Always an outsider. Never finding my people.

  • At school I wanted to be cool, yet I was a geek who loved learning.
  • I wanted to fit in and boys to like me, yet I was a bit awkward and couldn’t speak up.
  • At university, I struggled to share my voice in the workshops where others were so sure.
  • When I was married, I was the tactile extrovert in an introverted family.
  • In my corporate career, I was “over emotional” in a male dominated world.
  • In my first two businesses I was following everyone else’s model.

I never really belonged. And was too scared to stand out.

My confidence grew and my career grew. In contrast, sadly my marriage broke down. We didn’t grow together. After 13 years we divorced.

At a time when it looked like I had it all, the great career, the BIG holidays, the convertible on the driveway, the gorgeous house, the clothes with labels and being a lady who lunched.

I had nothing, no sense of who I was and I was truly lost.

I struggled with anxiety and depression. Some days, all I could do was get out of bed, dressed and get to work.

It was that journey out of my depression, that I started a self discovery journey that  led me to who I am now.

All that I learnt is at the heart of my Find your Fire process that I teach and coach now. And set my heart on fire with a mission that meant that no other woman would have to feel lost, not knowing who they are.

I Now?

A purposeful leader with a successful 16 year career in male dominated telco and tech, running multi million pounds launches for household names. It was down to me, to lead a team of 40-50 to deliver on time and on budget. I LOVED it.

After running my successful gym business and selling it to move back to the motherland of Cornwall, I now “know what I want to do when i grown up” .. and I’m doing it!

I’m a world leading expert in supporting women leaders, leading them to reach their dream career whilst making a difference to others.
I’m a professional ICF accredited coach, so I’ve undergone hundreds of hours of training, and have ongoing supervision to keep developing as a coach. So you’re in safe hands.

I’ve worked with hundreds of women across the world from organisations such Vodafone, Microsoft, KPMG, Kelloggs, BT, Open University, Suez, Southampton University and various companies who truly care for employees.

My areas of geeky speciality are leadership identity, career strategy, finding purpose, purposeful relationships and influence and impact. I’m always learning and growing, which I then share with my clients.

I live in the Cornish motherland, with my husband, 2 dog sons. I love mermaiding in the sea, getting lost in nature and eating pasties!🧜‍♀️  I’m swimming the channel in June, and learning Polish! Sweary often, teary regularly, snorts when giggling, feels it ALL empath, heart on sleeve, tells it as it is, goes the extra mile, your fierce super fan, intuitive questioner, woo woo lover, neuroscience geek, proudly Cornish. 🦹‍♀️
